This policy explains every cookie that AskMAE ai LLC, doing business as AskMAE.ai™, sets on https://askmae.ai. It is short because we set very few.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a website leaves on your device. Some cookies keep a page working while you are using it. Others count visits. Ours do only those two things.
Every cookie this site sets
There are three, and no others.
- PHPSESSID. Set by our own server. It keeps a page working while you are on it, for example so a form remembers what you typed between steps. It holds no name, no email, and no tracking identifier, and it disappears when you close your browser. This one is essential and cannot be switched off.
- _ga. Set by Google Analytics. It gives your browser a random number so repeat visits are not counted twice. It lasts about thirteen months.
- _ga_8HRXDZ6E9C. Set by Google Analytics. It records the current visit so we can see which pages get used. It lasts about thirteen months.
What we do not do
We set no advertising cookies. We set no social media cookies. We do not run ads, we do not sell or share your information with advertisers, and nothing on this Site follows you to other websites.
Why we use Google Analytics
It tells us which pages people read and which ones they leave, so we can fix the ones that are not working. It reports on visits in aggregate. It does not tell us who you are.
How to turn the analytics cookies off
Choose Decline in the cookie banner when you first arrive, or open Cookie Preferences at any time and switch Analytics off. Declining changes nothing about how the Site works for you.
You can also block or delete cookies in your own browser settings, or install Google's opt-out add-on, which stops Google Analytics on every website you visit.
Other tracking technologies
We use no web beacons, no tracking pixels, and no Flash cookies on this Site. If that ever changes, this page will say so before it happens.
Forms hosted by Google
A few pages link out to forms hosted by Google Forms. Once you leave our Site for one of those pages, Google's own cookies and privacy terms apply, not this policy.
Changes to this policy
If we add or remove a cookie, we will update the list above and change the date at the top of this page.
